Just wanted to tell you, Bibi, (and all the others) ;-) My brother had a child on January 8 :) My brother is just 21 and his girlfriend is 20. Young parents! They lived in London, I told you that earlier on the blog, but when she was reaaaaally pregnant she had to go home, or they wanted the swedish hospital care. In Sweden you have free welfare (taxes) in England is almost the same, but they wanted to go home anyway. The fun thing is that Ruben (the new born) is made in London. :) Here is some pictures of him :)

It was so fun when he called me and told me i needed to go to London, me and my sister (and my grandmother) went to London, and we went to a pub, both Marilyn (the mother) and Kim (My brother, the father) drank orange juice, insted of a beer. Then thet told us they needed to tell us something, and Marilyn told us that she was pregnant. I was so happy.

Everytime I visited my brother in London, i felt in love with the city, thats why im here now. I love eveyrhing about this city.

He is just 5 hours on the picture! :D

I think im gonna eat him. Sweet little boy.

I WAS ON THEATRE , FULLY SUDDENLY HAPPENED THERE SOMETHING STRANGE HAPPEND, I HAD THE ROOF ON MY HEAD.

No, but seriously, did you hear about the misery at the theatre?

On the Apollo theatre 700 people was in the lokal when the roof fell down. Approximately 80 people are injured. People were squeezed and jammed between ceiling and floor. The people who were there, thought it was part of the show, but it was not! This is really wierd. Eyewitnesses say that when the ceiling fell down, got all panicky and there was dust everywhere.

Theatres are very popular during the Christmas season in London, and Apollo was full. Apollo is one of the most popular theaters and those who were there never thought something like this would happend.

Me and my friend Victoria had ticets to the show, but we didn't go! Thank God for that.

 TT

I'm pretty glad we wasn't there, and now i need to go to work, BUHU :( I hate to work but i need the money so i can buy food and live normal.. I wanna be a rich bitch ;D

Hello (:

Today, is the day! I'm going to the Oxford Street, the biggest shopping street. I have saved alot of money for this day, I'm going to get all the christmas presents and alot of personal stuff for me ofc ;)

I'm going to meet up Victoria now, and the clock is 10, then we're going to shop until we die! h i h i

This is some of my personal favorites:

  • Primark - Cheap and alot of everything - a store very look-a-like H&M. When you walk into a Primark, you will soon feel the PANIC- There is like 100000000 milion people in there. But if you know what you want, just get in, and get it. Then get out of there as soon as possiple. :)
  • Victoria's Secret - In Sweden, there's a HYPE about all the body-spash and all the other things from Victoria's Secret, and if you buy it here in London, you can get 5 body spash for the same price as you get 2 in Sweden. So use this time as a very good opportunity to buy many for you, or presents for a friend.
  • Relik - A vintage store, if you go to this store, make sure you have money! This is a expensive store and celeberets like Kate Moss visit it sometimes.
  • Top Shop - You can find this is Sweden too, but the price is so much better here in London!
  • River Island - The store between H&M and Top Shop, good clothes to good prices.

When you and your friends diceids to have shopping day, make sure you have good shoes, and a lot of time, and don't forgot to eat. This is some of my best tips, hope you try the shopping here.

Can't blog more now, I need to go to the bus!

Bye Bye

This is something i've been looking for! Christmas in England. They don't celebrate chritmas like we do home in Sweden. I have done some research about chritsmas in Lonon. They seems to have it all, choirs, Christmas trees, twinkling lights and ice skating!

In Sweden, everything happends on the 24th, but here in London, everythings happends on the 25th. The santa is coming to town :D

Some differents between english and swedish christmas:

  • In England you celebrate on the 25th
  • The santa don't enter your house in England, he leaves the presents in a sock.
  • Food: In England you often eat turkey, and in sweden we eat ham. (That's the best part of being in London this time of the year. I love turkey soooooo much! I actually eat it on christmas in Sweden too ;P)
  • They eat a speciall thing called "mince pies", it's a fruitpie :)
  • Insted of drinking "swedish glögg" they are drinking "mulled wine" The different between "glögg" and mulled wine is that "Glögg" is much sweeter.

SHOPPING - ALL THE DECORATIONS

Trafalgar Square - Christmas tree!

That's a really high and beautilful christmas tree in London. (20 meters high) Imported from Norway. 500 lights in that tree :) I look forward to spend my christmas days here.

Julgran på Trafalgar Square

And i think that all the tourist places will be really beautiful on christmas, like Big ben, they have a big christma tree there also.

If you don't know what big ben is, im going to tell you now.

It is a big clock in London, everyone I know takes a picture infront of the tower when they're in London.

Some history:

  • The clockwork, was done 1845 and the tower was done four years later.
  • The clock has only stoped once sence 1856!
  • Augustus Pugins is the architect of the tower
  • The tower is 96,3 m high!

A friend of mine, wants to start studying here in London. She asked me to find out as much about it as possible for her.

There are very many different universities in London, and the most important thing to think about when to start studying there, is to find one with a program that interests you. It's not free to study there, but you have the option to take out student loans, both in England and at home in Sweden.

I actually read i strange article on the internet while I was searched for information. On the university Kings collage in London, they do a study about "sniffing Charlie". That is really sick, in the article the teachers say that they cant promise if the students will have drugproblems after this.. I don't know if it's just me, but I think that's CRAZY ;) (4)

It's really expensive to study in London, I've searched the internet and found an article about a girl who had been studying in London for 3 years, every year cost her 130 000 sek. She thought that the education was really good. She have learn english on a way thats natural. She said "A really expensive education but a really fun experience" (1)

One thing thats really importent to think on is that you need to plan your trip very carefully, save much money.

There are some requirements you study in london:

  • You have to be good in English, many schools have a language test.
  • If you are authorized to study further in Sweden, you can even do it in London.

Some good information for you:

  • High school grade: They will not look att the averge grade, they will mainly look at those grades that are relevant.
  • You could apply for scholarships and it's not that hard to get
  • You can be a "visiting student" - Which means that if you don't like to study a whole education, there are a wide range of universities that offer you 1 or 2 semesters. That's really good :) (2)

Hey there you little muppets!

Hope you have a good time in Sweden, I have it great here in London. All the people I have come across so far, (have been here for 2 days only) has been awsome!

There is a big difference between London and Stockholm, it is so much more stressful here, but somehow still quiet. It's very hard to explain, it is simply something that must be experienced.

There are so many people here, imagine that here lives the 9 million people, there are just as many who live in Sweden!

What has been tricky so far has been the subway, there are so many different options and I find it very difficult to understand where I'm going :/ But have succeeded quite well anyway :-) In Sweden we have 3 lines, green, red and blue. Here, there are 1 million different choices, it feels like that at least.

I've actually got a job already! I went to 10 different coffee shops, and I got a job at Starbucks. That's a great start for me, now I have a fixed income, not because it is very, £ 6 per hour, but it's better than doing nothing.  I have looked at the room, with double bed, it costs £ 433 a month and I can rent it for how long I want. In one month I earn £ 960. If I share the room with a friend, it costs me £ 215 a month, I would have lots of money to spend on exploring the city! XD

The best so far is that I got myself an incredibly lovely surprise when I went to work the first time!
Even after some hours of stress and coffee everywhere Vicciz standing there like a shining star! However, she was with two other girls, who she apparently would stay with ... It was sad for it would have been funny if she had wanted to stay with me: (

Hello my name is Emma and this is my travel blog. Hope you will like what I write on this blog.I have just booked a trip to London, I go tomorrow!

I have chosen to go to London couse every time I 've been there , I've fallen in love with the city, there is so much different people with different cultures, and lovely bars and alleys . Then of course there is great shopping, but this journey is not to go for shopping, I want to learn as much as possible about London.

I want to get to know new people and find the meaning of life    . Learn about the different subjects cultures.

I want to stay in London for 6 months, and I have been saving for this trip for ages now, but in order to stay, I have to get a job and a permanent residence. So far , I've just booked hostels for ten days, so I have ten days for me to find a home and a decent job . :)

In the beginning, I could imagine working with anything, but ideally I'd probably like to work at a café, because I have experience from before, I been working on a café here in Sweden 4-ever . Working at cafe is also good, you meet how much people anywhere, and it's one of my goals with this trip. Since I do not want the job to take too much time, there must be time to explore the city.

I checked with my brother , because he lives there , so maybe he can get a job to me , I hope so anyway :)I have heard and read that it should be pretty easy to get a job in London, but it's not so good money. All you needs to do is apparently leaving your CV in several different places. Swedes have a good reputation and therefore employers are awfully interested Swedes labor.

I'll let you know more when I'm at the hostel tomorrow! Glad you follow my blog and my new adventure! I'm so excited and nervous! Hugs and kisses

This is a picture of the best people in the world :-) I will miss them so much :(
